Womxn Paint is hosting their third mural jam July 12th — 14th, 2019 in North Etobicoke as part of a Signature project of the Cultural Hotspot produced in partnership with the City of Toronto and supported by Toronto Pearson International Airport. The painting will take place on the northern retaining wall along Finch Ave W between Kipling Ave and Islington Ave.

Emerging and mid-career artists, or artist teams are encouraged to submit concepts for murals in response to the theme “naturally resilient”. We are looking for artist to visually share authentic stories that celebrate building strength, connection and community through developing our relationship with the natural world.

Each artist will receive a section of the wall that is 12ft wide x 6.5ft high.

For visual unity, the walls will be primed teal. Artists are asked to create their designs using the colour scheme below. Artists will be supplied with Montana Black aerosol paint and Dulux exterior latex (denomination to be determined) in those corresponding colours.

Selected artists will receive an honorarium (amount to be determined) for their successful completed piece.

DEADLINE: Artists must submit their applications by Sunday, May 26 at 11pm. Late applications will not be considered.
